It was a cool but pleasant March day when Bernard Goward, Bruce Graham and Terry Aitken joined Jamie Hember to GPS the new trail. Also along was Dave Bowyer who is the enthusiastic new trail monitor for this section.

We came to a place where the trail left the bush to deviate up to the edge of a field beside some ancient hay bales. The following imaginary conversation took place:
Terry: ” I guess these bales must predate the McGuinty era”.
Jamie. ” How do you know that?”
Terry: ” Because they are round, and McGuinty declared round bales to be illegal.”
Dave: “Why is that?”
Terry: “Because the cows were not getting a square meal.”
