Two hikes through Wildwood Conservation Area will be lead by Avon Trail leaders. You choose which option suits you.

Route Overview: both options follow a woodland trail of great natural appeal. The trail is well maintained and well-marked but can be moderately challenging in places

OPTION 1: For Hardy Hikers (rain or shine)

Bruce will lead a challenging full Wildwood Hike (as per WW Challenge) – a circuit around the lake. 

Distance 22km. Pace: Medium-fast. Terrain: moderate. Duration: approx. 6 ½ hours

Meet at Wildwood Kiosk, 3995 9th Line, Perth South ON.

Time: 8:45am. Depart at 9:00 am sharp. Return to kiosk by 3:30 pm.

Bring water, snack, and lunch. Wear appropriate footwear for trail hiking and dress in layers appropriate for weather.

 OPTION 2: For the Slightly-Less-Hardy (may be postponed if weather is poor)

Meg will lead the half-hike, from the Kiosk to the bridge on 115.

 Distance: 8km. Pace: Medium. Terrain: moderate. Duration: approx. 3 ½ hours

Meet at Wildwood Kiosk, at 3995 9th Line, Perth South ON.

Time: 8:45am. Depart at 9:00am sharp. Arrive at bridge by 12:00-12:30.

Bring water, snack, and lunch. Wear appropriate footwear for trail hiking and dress in layers appropriate for weather. A car shuffle will be required – so masks essential (while driving with others)
