The Avon Trail Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place November 19. At that meeting, two amendments to the Constitution will be presented: one revises the role of the Trail Monitor/Captain with respect to re-routes, and the other allows for notice of amendments to members by email.
In keeping with procedure, proposed amendments to the Avon Trail Constitution must be publicly read at a meeting prior to a vote at the Annual General Meeting. Normally this would happen at the September meeting. As we are not holding a September meeting, in order to satisfy that requirement, we are inviting interested members to attend the October meeting of the Board, at which time the proposed amendments will be read and discussed. For those not attending that meeting, these amendments will also be sent by email to all members thirty days prior to the AGM.
The October Board meeting is at Maria Antonio’s home, 91 Norwood Crt., Stratford, on Monday, October 21 at 7:00 pm. The amendments will be first on the Agenda. Members are welcome to stay for as much of the remainder of the board meeting as they wish.
If you plan to attend, in order to ensure adequate seating, please RSVP , Bernard, (berngowa@gmail.com) by Friday, October 18. The Agenda and the amendments will be posted on the website under both the News and the Resources tab one week prior to the Board meeting.
