MEMBERS PROFILE – Brenda Tarr
Frances and Dave Williamson are very active in the club. For several years they logged many hours doing maintenance on a 10km section of the trail. While continuing as monitors, Dave is also a hard-working team member on the maintenance crew and does an excellent job as commander-in-chief of the equipment. They recently purchased a garden shed specifically to store Trail equipment when there was no longer space in the garage for their car! Out on the trails, Frances snaps photos of fellow hikers, flora and fauna which she shares on the Avon Trail’s Facebook and website. These capture the essence of what being on the trail is all about. Dave and Frances were part of the group who supported the Canada 150 hikers – providing rides and encouragement along the way. The countless ways Dave and Frances contribute to the Avon Trail is invaluable and appreciated. And Dave, please keep bringing your famous chocolate tart to potlucks!
