Good news! We want to make all hikers aware of the END-TO-END BADGE choices available for purchase upon completing an end-to-end hike on the Avon Trail.

A new end-to-end badge featuring the iconic Wise Old Oak has been added to the Avon Trail Shop. The Wise Old Oak (also known as King Arthur) can be spotted along a section of the Avon Trail that runs in tandem with the Heath Valley Trail between Waterloo and St. Jacobs.
The carving features a wise, aged face with a prominent nose, deep-set eyes, and a flowing beard — all blending seamlessly into the natural texture of the tree’s bark. This carved face is the work of a Waterloo carpenter, created in 2017 on a tree that was already dead, ensuring no harm would come to a living specimen.
Two other End-to-End Badges are also available. To order any of these badges, you must submit a log of your completed End-to-End hikes. Click here for details. Members can purchase the badges at a discount price.
