Distance: 12 km.  Pace: Medium.  Terrain: CHALLENGING  Duration: 6 hours (4 hours hiking, driving, and lunch break).
Meet:  Giant Tiger, NW parking lot, 477 Huron St, Stratford, N5A 5T8

Time: 8:15 am.  Depart at 8:30 am sharp. A car shuttle will be used. Masks required for carpooling and car shuttle (at driver’s discretion).  Return to Giant Tiger by 3:00 pm.

Hike Route Overview:

This hike follows the Maitland River’s meandering route, through the gorge, along a hog’s back ridge, mature woodland, Morris Tract and Falls Reserve Conservation Area. This is a challenging hike with steep up and down sections, some with stairs. There are washrooms and an area for picnicking in the Falls Reserve C.A.

Recommendations: Rain or shine. Pack a lunch, wear good walking shoes/boots, and bring a hat and sunscreen.
