Rose will lead a hike Saturday morning, March 21, around the Hullett Marsh near Seaforth. There have been sightings of tundra swans, sandhill cranes, blue herons, bald eagles and even a screech owl.
The hike is open to everyone.
Meet at 8:45 at the Giant Tiger parking lot on Huron Street, Stratford. Leave at 9:00 by carpool to travel to the Viewing Stand off of Summerhill Rd and park there. We will walk a series of berms to hopefully see tundra swans, sandhill cranes, great blue herons, bald eagles and maybe even a screech owl.
Rose suggests hikers wear waterproof footwear. If you have poles, bring them for the uneven berms that will be crossed. Bring binoculars, snacks, and water. Dress in layers.
The hike will last about 2 hours, and we should be back to Stratford by 1:00 pm.
