SATURDAY AUGUST 20, : MAITLAND TRAIL—BLACK HOLE ROAD TO BENMILLER – Registration is required as there are limited spots available. We will hike rain or shine. Carpooling available but not guaranteed. 

Meet at 8:15AM at NW parking lot of Giant Tiger (477 Huron St, Stratford, N5A 5T8) for 8:30am sharp departure to car pool to starting point.

Distance: 12 km.
Pace: Medium.
Terrain: Challenging.
Duration: 6 hrs (1 hr travel each way, 4 hrs hiking, lunch break).  

Details:  This trail follows the Maitland River’s meandering route, through the gorge, along a hog’s back ridge, through mature woodland, Morris Tract and Falls Reserve Conservation Area. This is a CHALLENGING hike with steep up and down sections, some with stairs.  There are washrooms and an area for picnicking in the Falls Reserve C.A. 

Car shuttle will be used. MASKS REQUIRED for car pooling and shuttle (at driver’s discretion).
Return to Stratford by 3 PM.

Pack a snack, lunch and water. Bug spray and sun protection advisable. Wear supportive comfortable footwear.
