Especially important is that every person signs up themselves. This ensures the name of the hiker is recorded as well as that hiker’s emergency contact information. Also, each hiker is recorded as agreeing to the Terms of Use.

Rain or Shine, the 6th Annual Wildwood Challenge Hike around Wildwood Lake, will take place Saturday, October 21, 2023.

Please note: Wildwood is now charging an $8 parking fee per vehicle (no extra charge for multiple passengers) at the entrance to Wildwood. This expense is not covered by your event fee.

To register for this hike, provide your emergency contact below and agree to the Terms of Use. If you are a couple, please register separately so we have a single entry and single acceptance of the Terms of Use for each person.

By agreeing to the Terms of Use, if your photo is taken while walking, you are consenting to it being used by the Avon Trail, either on the Avon Trail Facebook page, Instagram or on the Avon Trail website. At check-out you will be asked for your contact information.  

Total distance covered: 22.0 km. Hikers should assemble at the Wildwood Kiosk at the main entrance, 3995 Line 9, RR#2, St Marys, ON (intersection of HWY 7 & Perth County Road 9 (43.269440, -81.067693) at 08:20 for sign-in. The hike starts at 8:30 am.

Late arrivals may be denied access to this event.

 Snacks and water at two refreshment stations will be included. A drop-out ride back to the kiosk is possible from either refreshment station.

Participants are awarded the Wildwood Challenge badge. Drinks and finger food served at 7:00 pm at a local Stratford home. All participants are welcome. Details will be provided when hikers arrive for the hike start.
