9TH ANNUAL WILDWOOD CHALLENGE FUNDRAISER
October 24, 2026: 8:20 am (for sign-in) to 3:00 pm
This supported hike is an opportunity to help fund trail maintenance for the Avon Trail. Upon completion, each hiker will receive a badge designed specially for this event. Pace: hike at your own pace
Terrain: moderate
Duration: should take between 4 and 6 hours, depending on the walker

Meeting time: 8:20 am
Meeting place: Wildwood Conservation Area kiosk, 3995 Line 9, St. Marys, ON
Hike Route Overview: Hikers will follow the Wildwood Lake trail, counterclockwise, with beautiful woodland walking and lake views. The route offers two rest stations with snacks and hot drinks.
DROP OUTS: Hikers can drop out at the two rest stops ( 9km and 17km). A ride back to your car is offered should you need it.
Recommendations: dress according to the weather. Wear good walking shoes/boots, bring a hat and dress in layers. Bring lunch and plenty of water.
Event price: $35.00 per person
Please note: Wildwood charges a $11 parking fee per vehicle (no extra charge for multiple passengers) at the entrance to Wildwood. This is not covered by the Event fee.
PARTICIPANTS are invited to a 7:00 pm post-hike gathering at Bruce’s house in Stratford.
