A Barbeque will follow in Grand Bend for lunch at a member’s cottage. Details to follow. \nMeet at 9:30 am in the conservation area south of Morrison Dam just east of Exeter\, on Morrison Line\, south of 83. \nHike Route Overview \nThis trail loop winds through the scenic Ausable River Valley and combines the   McNaughton-Morrison Trail and Morrison Conservation Area\, scenic hardwood and pine forests\, the Ausable River and Morrison Lake. Outhouses are located at the trailhead. \nRecommendations: \nBring a snack\, water\, insect repellent or bug gear. Please wear appropriate footwear (hiking boots/shoes or running shoes).

DESCRIPTION:This supported hike is a chance to support the Avon Trail to fund necessary trail maintenance. Upon completion\, each hiker will receive a badge designed for this event. Sorry\, registration is now closed. All spots are full. \nDistance: 22 km \nPace: Hike at your own pace \nTerrain: Moderate \nDuration: Should take between 4 and 6 hours depending on the hiker \nRain or Shine \nMeeting Time: 8:20 am \nMeeting Place: Wildwood Conservation Area kiosk\, 3995 Line 9\, St. Marys\, ON \nHike Route Overview: Hikers will follow the Wildwood Trail with beautiful woodland walking and lake views. The route offers two rest stations with snacks and hot drinks. \nDROP OUTS: Drop outs from rest stops are possible. A ride back to your car is offered should you need it. \nRecommendations: Dress according to the weather and wear good walking shoes/boots\, bring a hat and dress in layers. Bring lunch and bring plenty of water. \nEvent Price: $35 per person \nPlease Note: Wildwood is now charging an $8 parking fee per vehicle (no extra charge for multiple passengers) at the entrance to Wildwood. This is not covered by the Event fee. \nPARTICIPANTS are invited to a 7:00 pm gathering at Bruce’s house in Stratford. \n
