DESCRIPTION:Meet Up Location: Allman Arena north parking lot off Lakeside Drive at Morenz Dr \nDeparture Time is 9:00 am Sharp.  Please arrive early to receive instructions and directions. \nTerrain: varies from easy to strenuous. \nPace: Medium – 3 – 4 km per hour \nDetails: Hike is approximately 2 hours. Geoff will be leading the hike. After meeting at the Allman Arena\, hikers will carpool to km 68.5 on Road 106. The hike will continue on the trail from Road 106 to km 66.1 on Road 107\, and  return. We may be lucky enough to see some migrating birds so y0u might want to bring binoculars.  Coffee time follows.

Departure is at 9:00 sharp. \n  \nTerrain: Medium due to snow cover and some narrow sections on snow covered boardwalks. Flat. \nPace: Easy (2 – 4 km per hour)\, estimated distance 3 – 5 km. \nAdvance Weather Forecast: 2C\, 40% chance of rain/showers \nDetails: Hike will take place in Walker Woods\, just outside New Hamburg. The trail is well packed\, but poles may be useful. Parking will be on Stonecroft Way at the small parking lot at the trail head on the roundabout\, with more parking available across the street in the Stonecroft Recreation Centre. Please do not park on the roadway. Ramble is approximately 1.5 hours in duration. Coffee time follows.

DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, February 15 hike at Morrison’s Dam\, Exeter is being changed due to weather forecast. \n \n \n\nSuch a gorgeous day out there right now\, but the snow and wind forecast for tonight and tomorrow is telling me we need to stick closer to home for a hike.\nI am going to switch out to meeting at the Art Gallery on Romeo to leave for a 9:00 hike.  We will head east to access the Avon Trail – and see what kind of trouble we can get into.\nThis will still be a scheduled hike.  \n\n \n \n \nContact Rose rosebontje@yahoo.ca for more information and to register.
