DESCRIPTION:SATURDAY MAY 11: LOBB TRAIL\nPlease Read before participating. \nMeetup Location:  Giant Tiger Parking Lot – NW corner\nTime:  8:45 am\nDistance: 7 km loop.\nPace: Medium.\nTerrain: Challenging (rolling hills and one steep section).\nDuration: 4-5 hrs (1.5 hrs travel\, 2.5 hrs hike\, possible lunch) \nDetails: Meet 8:45 AM at Giant Tiger parking lot for 9AM sharp departure to carpool approximately 50 minutes to School House Road and Maitland Line\, northeast of Clinton. This trail runs through mature woodlots and meadow along the Maitland River. There may be a\nbeautiful show of spring wildflowers. Please bring water\, sunscreen\, repellant\, and snacks.  Dress in sturdy footwear and layered clothing. Optional lunch in Clinton after. DESCRIPTION:Please Read before participating. \nMAITLAND TRAIL—BLACK HOLE ROAD TO BENMILLER\nTime:  9:00 am sharp\nTerrain: Challenging\n Pace: Medium\nDistance: 11.5 km. \nDuration: 5-6 hrs (1 hour travel each way\,3 hrs hiking\, lunch break).\nMeet up Location:  northwest corner Giant Tiger parking lot\, Huron St. Stratford at 9:00 AM to car pool to starting point.  Car shuttle will be used. Return to Stratford by 3 PM.\nThis trail follows the Maitland River’s meandering route\, through the gorge\, along a hog’s back ridge\, through mature woodland\, Morris Tract and Falls Reserve CA.  There are steep up and down sections\, some with stairs.  It is a scenic section of the Maitland Trail ending at Benmiller. There are two outhouses along the route and an area for picnicking in the Falls Reserve CA\nPack a snack\, lunch and water.\nBug spray and sun protection advisable.\nWear supportive comfortable footwear. \nThis is a challenging hike\, be prepared!  \nRSVP to Meg : megwestley@gmail.com  if planning to join hike.
