DESCRIPTION:Please Read before participating. \nMeet Up Location: Parking Lot behind Boston Pizza on Erie St.\nDeparture Time is 10:00 am Sharp. \nTerrain: Easy\nDistance:  2 km\nPace: Slow \nDetails: \nDuration: 4 hrs (1: travel\, 1: walking\, 2: tours/brunch). \nMEET AT 10 AM BEHIND BOSTON PIZZA\, Erie St. Stratford to car pool to Wildwood Conservation Area kiosk at 3995 Line 9\, St. Marys. Some vehicles will go to McCully’s parking lot 4074 Perth Line 9\, St. Marys for shuttle service.\nThis is a fun hike for all ages which starts at Wildwood and follows the blue Lake Trail/Avon Trail towards McCully’s Hill Farm.  \nOptional Things to Do:  McCully’s farm offers Sugar Bush tours and Pancake Brunch—10 AM to 2 PM. Tours include wagon rides through sugar bush\, guided tour of sugar shack and a visit to farm animals. DESCRIPTION:Where: Stratford Side Trail/Main Trail Junction\n(The meeting place is Rd. 111 at the Bridge over the Avon River\, about 1 km north of Hwy 7/8\, GPS: 43.376155\,-80.937989) \nWhen: 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm\, rain or shine \nDistance: 4 km \nPace: Medium \nTerrain: Easy \nDuration: 3 hours \nMeeting: Rd. 111 at the bridge over Avon River\, about ½ km north of Hwy 7/8 (43.376262\,-80.937814).  Home Hardware is at the corner of Rd. 111 and Hwy 7/8. \nTime:  1:30 pm. The hike will be approximately 1.5 hrs.  Car shuffle will be used. \nHike Route Overview:  This hike begins near the east end of the Stratford Side Trail; it includes a canopied walk along the Avon River beside crop land.  It junctions with the main Avon Trail where it passes through a mature woodlot\, then through the Little Lakes valley to the Forest Rd. Motel.  Apart from one descent\, it is mostly flat terrain.   All are welcome from grandkids to seniors and everyone in between.  This is the first of nine Family hikes celebrating the Avon Trail’s 45th anniversary year.
