We will then take the first left after Amulree onto 106. After about a kilometer we’ll park on the right side of the road (Avontrail kilometer 68.5). We’ll walk west to road 107 and back. I picked this trail because it is mostly in the forest and Tuesday’s forecast is for hot and dry conditions”. \nCoffee time follows the hike for those who wish to join. \n

We leave the Allman Arena by carpool travelling to the Mitchell area. Rose will lead the hike along trails of the West Perth wetlands on the south of Mitchell. Binoculars would be a great asset to bring along. The trails are flat\, linear and grassy. We will visit the Demonstration Forest seen from Highway 8. These native trees were planted in 2013. At the 33 we’ll turn right and go through Amulree\, then we’ll turn left onto the 106\, the first road after Amulree.\nAfter about 0.5 km we’ll reach the traihead. Parking is on the right/east side of the road. We’ll then hike west to the 107 and back.
